Conversation 1
A: I've been trying to learn Spanish for months, but I'm not making much progress.
B: Have you tried watching Spanish movies or some popular TV programs? It helped me a lot when I was learning.
A: Not really. I mostly just use a language app on my phone.
B: Apps are great for vocabulary, but listening to native speakers is really important for getting the pronunciation and rhythm right.
A: That makes sense. I'll give it a try.
Conversation 2
A: The printer in the office is out of ink again. I need to print these reports before the meeting.
B: I think there are some spare cartridges in the supply cabinet. Did you check there?
A: No, I didn't think of that. I'll go look.
B: If there aren't any, you could email the documents to the conference room screen. That way you won't need printed copies at all.
A: Good idea. Thanks.
Conversation 3
A: I'm thinking about adopting a dog, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for the responsibility.
B: It's definitely a big commitment. Do you have enough space at home?
A: I have a small apartment, but there's a park nearby.
B: That helps. Just keep in mind that dogs really need daily walks and regular vet visits. It can get expensive.
A: I hadn't really thought about the vet costs. I'll need to look into that more.
Conversation 4
A: Did you hear that the campus café is closing for renovations next week?
B: Really? For how long?
A: About three weeks. There's a food truck that will park outside the library during that time though.
B: That's good to know. The library is on my way to class, so that works out.
A: Same. I just hope the prices are reasonable.
